Bobby Bop

Bobby bested Wybie in a chase... He waited... Then he bopped.

Wybie had been chasing him across the house, Bobby slipped into the closet and went still.

Wybie came into the room, looked around, and kept moving.

Bobby didn't chase him. He didn't react. He waited.

When the opportunity came, Bobby stepped out and gave one bop.

Not a swat.

Not a pounce.

Just a tap that said:

I have the skills, and I chose my moment.

We often think effective leadership means acting quickly and making the decisions. But sometimes the strongest leadership move is to pause.

Not every challenge requires an immediate response.

Not every disagreement needs to become a confrontation.

Not every opportunity needs to be seized the moment it appears.

Self-awareness gives leaders the ability to recognize the difference between reacting and responding.

Know your strengths.

Read the situation.

Show patients.

Then act with intention.

Leadership is having the confidence to wait until the right move becomes clear.
